I am assisting the owner in the sale of the watch, and he has a late 1930’s to early 1940’s Jardur Bezelmeter with a freshly serviced 71 Valjoux movement. He can provide the service receipt if the buyer desires.
The watch was purchased at an estate sale with many other items from the original owner that is not aviation related but are nice pieces in general (i.e. pen knife, money clip, lighter, pen, etc.). If you are interested in aviation, he is willing to place a few signed playing cards by notable aviators into the lot if you so desire.
It appears, in my opinion, this is a genuine Jardur with the genuine movement and case back. It does have the Pilgrim Electric Corp branding, which you all know by know is the hallmark of a Jardur.
What is interesting about this Jardur dial is that it has the double triangle at the 30-minute register (at the 1 and 2 markers). As you know, most Bezelmeter have the one big red triangle that cover the 1 and 2 markers.
The watch alone is 5500.00 (US). If you want the other items, its 6500.00.
I would be willing to have the owner ship the watch to me and then once funds have been sent to the owner, I then can send the watch to the purchaser. OR I can just get you in touch with the owner himself and you can work directly with him. Up to you.
